3 Steps by MattX125  lol Oh, how naive the young are... I've been seeing a lot of these lately. No offense to any of said people, or the creator of this deviation.

Literally 78% of all anime end without the main character single--mostly because for every fan that loves one couple, there are three fans who:

1. Don't like the love interest in that couple.
2. Don't like the couple idea in general.
3. Prefer to think of OC's with the main character.
OR
4. Other.

And for every three fans that feel one of these ways, at least one of them would stop watching/reading/buying the anime and it's merch. all together. The vast majority of manga artists are too smart to rid themselves of so many fans. There are far less fans who would drop the fandom all together if he DIDN'T chose between Hinata and Sakura.

And let's not even get into all the overwhelming evidence for NaruSaku. Or the fact that Kishi openly said closer to the beginning of the manga he never really considered Hinata actually getting Naruto, and until recent chapters, it seemed as though he was sticking with that--though he's also had Naruto lean heavily on Sakura as well, and many of these bits of 'proof' NaruHina's and NaruSaku's keep spouting, for Naruto, can be equated to how he shows friendship. I mean, if we applied this same logic, it's much more probable he will end up with Sasuke. How about the fact that Kishi also said a few years ago at a con 'I don't really like the idea of Naruto and Hinata. Her obsession is too similar to Sakura and Kazuki (He is assumed to be referring to Maburaho; a well known, but not popular manga at the time), and her stalker qualities are too similar to Mizuki (again, assumed to be referring to Rosario+Vampire, witch at the time of the con was a brand new manga gaining fast popularity). I had thought those qualities would make her off putting. I guess not. *chuckle*

There was a manga once called 'Happy Lesson' that was starting to be huge in Japan. When it was made into an anime, they changed the main character's name and general personality, but it did well enough to be brought over to America. Through most of the anime, he seemed as if he would get with the class president, but then another character popped up in the season before last that made fans think she would make a much better option. By the end of the season, Chitose Hitotose (yes, that was actually his name. lol) was single. Many fans were content with this, but a lot of more rabid fans demanded a romantic conclusion; for him to choose whom he would be with. They made a new last season, and he ended up getting with...one of his adoptive mothers.

Though this is a far cry from what would more than likely happen with Naruto, there's a reason many in the states no longer remember the anime, or never heard of it to begin with. The last season wasn't even brought over.

I'm not a Hinata hater, btw. I like her character, and she also reminds me of Mizure--but with less back bone. (To understand what I mean by that, and how I'm not putting Hinata down at all, you'd have to read the manga); whom is a favored character of mine. I just recognize that there's no way they could be in love, considering they've hardly had any conversations at all in their whole lives. Hinata is iinfatuated with the IDEA of Naruto. Naruto, if he is interested, in really just happy someone is interested in him, and no one else. (I.E. Sakura being in love with Sasuke, then falling for him as an afterthought around the time when everyone stopped hating him so much. She just seemed like she was one with the crowd, further noted when she confessed to Sasuke later.)

One more thing... If you've ever read the raw of the manga, Hinata's 'confession' is written the exact same way as Neji's farewell. So Which is it? Did both Neji and Hinata confess their love to Naruto? Did Neji confess his love to Hinata, and then she followed that by confessing to Naruto? Or did Hinata simply profess a desire to protect Naruto, above all else, and quote her now-dead cousin, whom professed the exact same desire of her before giving his life? I'd say the later is the more probable, people... It would also give rise as to why Naruto looked so scared/shocked when she said it. If a platonic friend that you cared for said something that was the exact same as when another platonic friend said right before they died to protect you? I'd freak out too; even if I was in no way attracted to either of them! I think anyone with a heart would.

Forgive me if this is different than your opinion. I'm only giving a legitimate, psychological explanation and ethical review of the possibility of them as a couple. I know I'll get opposition, and I simply ask that you not be ignorant and/or immature. I have no problem with debates. ^_^

I think some people are waiting for Naruto to end just to see if NaruHina (a pairing I dislike) is canon. Sakura has been with him and had interacted with him way more than Hinata ever did...
